The Template Method
Every letter order on this site ships with a 1:1 installation (paper) template: the full-size outline of the finished sign with every fixing point marked. The fitter tapes the template to the wall, levels it, drills through the marks, removes the paper and fixes the letters onto the prepared points. Spacing, alignment and letter order — the things that make an installation look professional — were decided by the template, not improvised on a ladder.
Stud mounting holds letters off the wall on threaded studs — required for backlit letters, whose halo needs the gap — while flush mounting suits unlit and frontlit letters on flat surfaces. Rail mounting, where letters arrive pre-fixed to a rail that mounts as one unit, suits fragile walls and rental premises where drilling must be minimal.
Wiring Order and the Transformer
Letters run on a safe DC 12V from the supplied Mean Well transformer. The standard sequence: mount letters, connect the low-voltage runs letter to letter, site the transformer in a ventilated, accessible place (above a ceiling, inside a cabinet, behind the counter), then connect mains power — the one step that belongs to a qualified electrician in most jurisdictions. Test before final fixing where the construction allows; a letter is much easier to adjust before the last stud is tightened.
Keep the order paperwork — listed warranty terms are 5 years for stainless and acrylic elements and 3 years for LED and transformer — with the transformer's location noted. The next person to service the sign will thank you.
Questions Buyers Ask
How are the letters installed?
Each order ships with a 1:1 paper installation template: tape it to the wall, drill through the marked points, fix the letters and connect the transformer. Stud, rail and flush mounting are chosen per wall at order stage.
Who should install facade letters?
A local sign fitter. The template makes the work fast and accurate, but working at height and mains connection are professional tasks.
